About this event

What happens on the day

This one-day workshop followed the standard Carpentries curriculum, taught by certified instructors and pitched at people who write some code but had never been shown a version control workflow.

The day covered the Unix Shell, setting up Git, tracking changes, handling conflicts and branches, and using Git from RStudio.

The next Git workshop runs in October 2026.
